Good luck to Dr. Pasquale Iacono as he begins a postdoctoral position at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center with physician-scientist Moritz Kircher.

Dr. Tulaza Vaidya has joined us after completing her PhD at the University of Rochester under Prof. Richard Eisenberg and Prof. Alison J. Frontier.

Dr. Erin Dunn and Dr. Syud Momtaz Ahmed have left the group to begin their new positions at 3M. Congratulations and good luck!

Dr. Rocco Di Girolamo has joined us from Università degli Studi di Napoli “Federico II.”

Dr. Giang Vo has left the group to begin his new position at Dupont.

Geoffrey W. Coates, Tisch University Professor of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Cornell University, Ithaca, NY (USA), has been awarded the DSM Performance Materials Award 2012 in recognition of his exceptional contributions to the advancement of polymer chemistry and the materials sciences.

Geoff has received the Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award, which recognizes pioneering chemical technologies for pollution prevention. Given by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the award highlights “scientific solutions to real-world environmental problems,” according to the EPA. Geoff was recognized in the academic category for developing a family of catalysts that convert carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide into polymers.
